TCA Empty Bowls Charity Paint Night
Wednesday, August 26, 2015
Magic Paint Brush, 361 Main Street, Tewksbury
Supports the 6th annual Greater Lowell Empty Bowls Project http://www.emptybowls.net
The basis of this paint night event is to buy and paint a special bowl which will be donated to the 2016 Empty Bowls Project.
The 6th annual Greater Lowell Empty Bowls Project will be held on January 24, 2016 in downtown Lowell. People can sample fabulous soups donated by the local culinary students of Nashoba Tech, Greater Lowell Tech, Lowell HS, Shawsheen Tech, Nashua Tech, The United Teen Equality Center, Coleman Catering and The Chowder Factory of Lowell. The public will be able to purchase these donated hand painted keepsake bowls that day as a reminder of all the empty bowls in this world. This event raises both money and awareness to help in the fight to end hunger. Proceeds benefit Living Waters Center of Hope in Lowell, and each year they in turn share a portion with another local organization.
The TCA will cover the $12 cost for any current members of the Tewksbury Community of Artists that attend the paint night. We are accepting new member applications, so if you join the TCA between now and August 26th, you will get to paint a bowl for free! The public is also invited to attend Empty Bowls Paint Night as well, so please feel free to bring a friend! Cost for non-members is $12 per person and painters can choose between three bowls the night of the event. Pre-registration is recommended to save your spot, and help us prepare accordingly.
To hold your spot please RSVP through this link:

About the Tewksbury Community of Artists:
Established in 1993, the Tewksbury Community of Artists has been a group of talented members that range from young adults to seniors and practice all forms of art. They live in all parts of New England. The Tewksbury Community of Artists are funded by dues, donations and in part by the Tewksbury Local Council (Massachusetts State Cultural Council).
Our Group has had demonstrations of various art forms and also workshops which have been advertised and open to the public. Annually, the Tewksbury of Community of Artists has a Members Only Show where members can display, demonstrate and sell their art. Senior high school students can also participate for a chance to receive one of three scholarships.
Each Fall, the Group has an Annual Art Festival. Participants in this event include students from all the schools in Tewksbury, members, and non-members. Since the Annual Art Festival incorporates students and any other artist, it is one of the greatest cultural events of the Town. There is light refreshments and a chance to meet the artists.
