Winners from the 19th Annual Art Festival

Participants in this event include students from all schools of Tewksbury, members, and non-members. Since the Annual Art Festival incorporates students and all other artists, it is one of the greatest cultural events of the Town. On Friday night, there was an Opening Reception for artists and their guests only.

Sergio Bautista
Sergio is an artist originally from Mexico City, who has worked, traveled, and exhibited internationally over the past 25 years, including in Europe, Asia, U.S. He has been on faculty and taught at the University level, and has served as Artist in Residence at several institutions. He currently lives and works in the U.S., and presently is part of the vibrant arts community of Lowell, MA. He has utilized a variety of media, including oil, acrylic, collage, pastel, etching, and lithograph. His style is best described as contemporary.

Jack Holmes
Jack has been a traveling photographer for over five decades. He maintains a studiogallery at Western Avenue Studios, 122 Western Avenue, Suite A207, in Lowell. His gallery, "Images From Near And Far", shows small and large framed prints. Hangings change as new images from travels become available. Recent exhibitions included images taken in Antarctica, Ireland, Morocco, South Africa, Namibia, Peru and Ecuador, Costa Rica, Mexico, Spain, China, Bali, Southwestern and the Northeastern USA. He recently completed trips to Morocco, and Antarctica. Jack maintains a website and blog, www.HolmesCom.com, devoted to his travel art images and writings.

J.J. Long
James Creighton Long Jr. (J.J.) received a B.A. in Studio Art from the University of NH with a focus in oil painting. Long has been self employed as an artist since 2005 and makes his living from selling his oil paintings at gallery shows, open studios, and art festivals all over New England. The artist currently leases out studio space at the Western Avenue Studios in Lowell, MA. His work is rendered in the style of realism and can be viewed by visiting his website at www.jjartworks.com.

Richard Peck
Richard is a an Artist living in Salem and the Retail Gallery coordinator at the Salem Arts Association (www.salemartsassociation.org). He is currently exploring printing aspects in linoleum block printing. Richard has developed and sells a line of Salem-themed holiday greeting cards. He also designs and produces hand-made wedding invitations. Richard graduated from Siena College with a BA and has also taken many courses at the highly regarded School of Visual Arts.

Christopher Pendergast
Christopher is a Massachusetts based painter who uses traditional oil painting techniques in combination with mixed media to achieve a variety of effect. After graduating with a BFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 2000, Pendergast worked in design and production art for a few years before moving back to art making full- time in 2007. Since then, he has had continuous representation at the Louisa Gould Gallery on Martha's Vineyard, and since 2010 at Sheldon Fine Art in Newport, Naples and Saratoga. Pendergast has received numerous commissions and his work is in many corporate and private collections.

Richard Sarno

Richie has an award winning video production company, Black Arrow Entertainment, which is also a booking agency, as well, for local singers and musicians. He is an award winning producer and host of his own Access Television talk show in Burlington called "Turntable." Richie is currently working as editor and project manager in helping character actor Anthony James with his memoirs. Previously, Richie had a successful career in magazine publishing for over 25 years as an Art Director and Production Manager. An award winning designer, he graduated from the New England School of Art & Design as a Graphic Design major
